Given Fuller’s contact, and Tampa Bay’s relative lack of cap space, general manager Jason Licht would need to be a bit creative to make the numbers work. Given Tampa Bay’s needs in the secondary, adding Fuller would be a huge boost for the stretch run. Out in Denver, Kyle Fuller has become the odd man out in the secondary, as Ronald Darby and Pat Surtain are starting on the outside and Bryce Callahan is handling the slot role. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been hit hard by injuries in their secondary, as both Carlton Davis and Sean Murphy-Bunting are currently on Injured Reserve, and Richard Sherman has been dealing with a hamstring injury. This pairing seems almost too good to be true. Evan Engram, despite last year’s Pro Bowl selection, has never fully materialized as the threat the New York Giants thought they drafted in the first round a few seasons ago, and with the Giants perhaps being sellers as the deadline looms, this could be an ideal pairing. Tight end Robert Tonyan went down with a knee injury in the second half, and according to reporting it is expected to be “significant.” When you add in the fact that Tonyan hits free agency this off-season, the team might look for help at the position over the next few days. The Green Bay Packers dealt the Arizona Cardinals their first loss of the season on Thursday night, but it might have come with a high price. In that spirit, here are 13 trades we would like to see before Tuesday’s deadline. So with the 2021 NFL trade deadline looming, we have a much better idea of what teams might be sellers, and who might be buyers. While in year’s past, teams were not ready to throw in the towel on a season after just six weeks, the schedule shift has created an environment where organizations now have a much better idea of where they are headed, and are more open to the idea of setting up the roster for next season if necessary. Two more weeks to evaluate their rosters, and therefore two more weeks to determine if they should be buyers or sellers. That change in the yearly calendar gave NFL teams two more weeks of play. Back in 2012, the NFL reached an agreement with the NFL Players Association to move the trade deadline back to Week 8 from Week 6.
